Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) Analytics & Sales Goals!
For my clients who are author with a published book on Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) looking for support with Analytics & Sales Goals, here are some simple steps to finding out your data.
1. Log in to KDP
Go to the Kindle Direct Publishing website and log in with your Amazon account credentials.
2. Navigate to the Reports Tab
Once logged in, click on the "Reports" tab located on the top menu. This section provides detailed insights into your book sales.
3. Use the Sales Dashboard
The Sales Dashboard offers real-time data on your book sales, including units sold, royalties earned, and the performance of individual books. You can filter by different time frames such as the last 7 days, 30 days, or custom dates.
4. Check the Orders Report
The Orders Report allows you to see details about the orders placed, including the type of orders (eBook, paperback, etc.), the marketplace (US, UK, etc.), and more.
5. Royalty Estimator
The Royalty Estimator gives you a preview of the royalties you’ve earned so far. This can be particularly helpful for keeping track of your earnings over time.
6. Track KENP (Kindle Edition Normalized Pages) Read
If your book is enrolled in Kindle Unlimited or the Kindle Owners' Lending Library, you can track how many pages of your book have been read by users under these programs.
7. Download Reports
You can download various reports, including sales and royalties, as CSV files for more detailed analysis. This is useful if you want to track your sales over time or analyze your sales trends.
8. Use Third-Party Tools (Optional)
There are also third-party tools like Book Report, KDSpy, or Publisher Rocket that can help you track your sales and provide additional analytics.
